Fans, especially the fans of RCB and KXIP were keen to see him in the list so that they can have a chance of getting him one of these two teams. Twitter also trolled Angelo Mathews in a very hilarious way for keeping such a high base price for himself. Take a look at some of the best reactions :

This twitter user was not impressed with Angelo Mathews valuing himself so high at the auction table so she took a sarcastic dig at his abilities.
@RCBTweets please buy Eion Morgan this time and make him captain, otherwise you know you gonna lose again. Let kohli bat in opening slot…

This twitter user came up with his own list of demands.
Won’t be surprised if Eoin Morgan gets the highest bid in this auction. He has been in excellent form, just won the World Cup being the captain and many IPL teams are looking for a captain.

Here is a comparison between Mitchell Starc and Pat Cummins’s financial situations after one not choosing to play cash rich IPL while the other didn’t (pun intended)!
Now since players wishing to be a part of the auction have registered their names, it’s up to the franchises to choose amongst them and submit their final preferences so that only a given number of players can be brought into the auction as it isn’t possible to bid for all the 911 registered players altogether, especially when you just have to fill up 73 spots. The teams can submit their list of preferred players till Monday, 9th December.
