The newly built Motera Stadium in Ahmedabad, Gujarat is all set to replace iconic Melbourne Cricket Ground, MCG as the world’s largest cricket stadium in the world in terms of the seating capacity. It will be inaugurated on 24th February, although not by Donald Trump whom many believed would be doing the needful which turned out to be just a rumour.

Even after the inauguration, the stadium will have to wait for around one year to host its first ever match as India is hosting England in a Day-Night Test match in January 2021 here going by BCCI chief Sourav Ganguly’s words.
