Former Barcelona striker Rivaldo believes that Lionel Messi will not leave Camp Nou to join either Manchester City or Juventus.
The news of the departure of the Argentine mega star from the Catalan giants has been circulating rapidly lately.
The most lively news link him to working together again with Pep Guardiola at Manchester City, or finally playing in the same club with his eternal rival, Cristiano Ronaldo, at Juventus.
Rivaldo doubted one of the transfers would take place, and claimed that Messi would be a player who played only for one club during his career, or one-club man like Francesco Totti, Ryan Giggs and Paolo Maldini.
“I do not believe in speculation about the potential departure of Lionel Messi from Barcelona at the end of the season,” the Brazilian soccer legend told.
“To be honest, I think he will end his career at Camp Nou. He has been a part of us since he was 14 years old. He loves the club and the club loves him too, so I don’t think he will leave. I see him as a player who only exists for one club, like Francesco Totti in AS Roma or Rogerio Ceni in Sao Paulo.
“It’s hard to imagine Messi playing against Barca in the Champions League, so if he leaves in the future, he will be more likely to move outside Europe, like China or MLS.”
