Jordan Henderson praised the ‘fantastic’ Sadio Mane instinct that helped Liverpool win 1-0 against Norwich City on Saturday.
The Reds increased their lead at the top of the Premier League to 25 points with the success of stealing three points at Carrow Road.
Mane came off the field as the winner of the match when he returned from injury, the Senegalese striker took advantage of a pass from Henderson in the 78th minute to score Liverpool’s only goal of the match.
After controlling the ball in the air, he skillfully shifted his body to make an unstoppable left foot shot between the near post and the range of the goal keeper.
“It was a fantastic run from Sadio, an extraordinary touch and a great finish – a fantastic goal from him,” Henderson told Liverpoolfc.com.
“We are very happy to get three points, it is very good that Sadio returned after the injury and he immediately entered the list of goalscorers, so nice to get it back and happy to get three points.
“That’s quite difficult. We have to keep attacking until the end, of course, but that’s Premier League football.
“Norwich City are a good team and have caused many problems for any team throughout the season and get some good players, so we know it will be difficult.
“It was a difficult condition for both teams in the end but, overall, I think we should be happy with these three points.”
