The injury-hit Royal Challengers Bangalore are set to take part in the IPL opener on April 5th along with Hyderabad. RCB will be entering into the match without the services of their premium batsmen like Virat Kohli, AB de Villiers, Sarfaraz and KL Rahul.
As it is just a day left from the start of a cracking action, we would like to give you the predictable XI of the Royal Challengers Bangalore against Sunrisers Hyderabad.
Openers – Chris Gayle & Shane Watson
The evergreen T20 opener, Chris Gayle and the stand-in skipper, Shane Watson would probably open their innings against SRH. Virat Kohli or KL Rahul opened their innings along with Gayle in earlier edition but their unavailability gives Shane Watson to open this time.
Opening slot is not a new option for Shane Watson as he already did it many times in his career so far. He is the one to look out against SRH as he coming up with new duties.
Middle-order batting – Mandeep Singh, Travis Head & Kedar Jadhav
Mandeep Singh, Travis Head and Kedar Jadhav will look up the middle-orde duties in the absence of AB de Villiers and Sarfaraz Khan on the side. It is a golden opportunity for Mandeep as it is the best chance to exhibit his skills to be a regular member on the side.
On the other hand, Travis Head and Kedar Jadhav are enjoying their golden form with bat and can surely make an impact on the game. Though Kedar is a good option as a part-time bowler but the unavailability of wicket-keeper will see him wearing gloves on the field.
Lower-order – Sachin Baby & Iqbal Abdullah
Sachin Baby and Iqbal Abdullah could look after the lower-order batting. Sachin Baby can be a decent finisher and also helped the team cross the line in an earlier edition of IPL 2016. While Abdullah will bring the variety in the bowling lineup and can be vital in crunch situations of the game with his bat as well.
Bowlers – Yuzvendra Chahal, Sreenath Aravind, Tymal Mills & Aniket Choudary
RCB could probably go with the above-mentioned bowlers as they are the best in the business when it comes to bowling in death or in power play overs. Sreenath Aravind has been their trump card since his inclusion in the side and Aniket is the bright prospect of India.
Tymal Mills will be their first-choice, fast bowler in the side while Yuzvendra Chahal can bring the difference with his variations. Shane Watson and Pawan Negi will also roll their arms in the match. RCB also has the luxury of using the services of Travis Head as a part-time Offie.
Predicted XI – RCB:
Chris Gayle, Shane Watson, Sachin Baby, Pawan Negi, Mandeep Singh, Travis Head, Kedar Jadhav, Yuzvendra Chahal, Sreenath Aravind, Tymal Mills, Aniket Choudhary.
