Borussia Dortmund striker Erling Braut Haaland is advised to stay at Dortmund next season and reject an offer to join Real Madrid.
Since joining Dortmund in January from RB Salzburg, Haaland has become a sensation in the Bundesliga by recording 12 goals in 8 matches.
Meanwhile Madrid are still eyeing for a new striker after the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo in 2018 and Karim Benzema is also 32 years old.
The media reported that Madrid targeted Kylian Mbappe from PSG, but according to a Spanish outlet, Marca, Mbappe would be very expensive and very difficult to recruit because he is still under contract until 2022.
And although Madrid also had to pay dearly for Haaland, former Real player Steve McManaman advised Haaland to reject Madrid’s offer.
“It’s still too soon for him to leave Borussia Dortmund. He seems happy and he plays regularly and scores goals,” McManaman said.
“He should survive, he should play and he has to gain playing experience in a few more years.
“He should leave when he become a more experienced player after playing in 200 or 300 games for Dortmund, and played 20 or 30 times in the Champions League, which he should have done.
“He can’t just leave and jump on another ship and go to Real Madrid. You have seen what happened to Luka Jovic this season, he almost never kicked the ball for Real Madrid after last season ewhere he had an extraordinary season in Germany.
“Haaland doesn’t need that pressure. More than that, I heard Real Madrid were interested in Kylian Mbappe, so they don’t need to be there at the same time.”
