Delhi Capitals takes on Sunrisers Hyderabad in the 11th game of IPL today and after back to back crackers, we don’t want the competition’s intensity to cool down tonight. It is going to involve few superstars like David Warner, Jonny Bairstow, Kagiso Rabada, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Rashid Khan, Rishabh Pant and many others. Just like we did for the last game, we take a look at the interesting players battle among players from these two teams based on their past performances.
Rishabh Pant vs Bhuvneshwar Kumar
Rishabh Pant vs Bhuvneshwar Kumar battle will be an interesting one to watch out for after what happened between these two in a game in IPL 2018 at Kotla. Pant has a very dominating record against the right hand fast bowler of Sunrisers Hyderabad. He has scored 65 runs of his bowling while he has faced only 26 balls bowled by him. Most of the runs were scored in that one contest where he scored 49 runs in 15 balls against him. Pant’s ability to take on even the best bowlers make him a special talent and watch this special talent against one of the best bowlers tonight.
David Warner vs Kagiso Rabada
This is going to be the most mouth watering contest right at front with two of the best in the business taking on each other. Kagiso Rabada against David Warner is surely one contest to look forward to as both are equally skillful in what they do. Warner is too good in the powerplays with field restrictions and at the same time Rabada gets most destructive with the new ball. Talking about their track record, Rabada has dismissed Warner twice in the 22 balls he has bowled to him while he has given away only 26 runs. The records are in favour of Rabada at the moment but you never know with champion players like Warner who can turn things around anytime.
Shreyas Iyer vs Rashid Khan
This is probably a mild battle among all the sparkling ones but this too will be very significant in the context of the game as the captain of Delhi Capitals Shreyas Iyer’s main strength will be countered by a quality spinner. We all know Shreyas Iyer plays spin really well and likes to take on the spinners while he struggles a fair bit against pacers. Rashid Khan hasn’t got too many wickets in recent times because the batsmen have decided to play him cautiously. He too would like it if Iyer attacks him, it will give him more chances of dismissing Delhi captain.
So far statistically, the contest is even with Iyer scoring 60 runs against him in 51 balls he has faced off him and giving away his wicket only once.
