The novel COVID-19 Pandemic has affected everyone across the globe massively and people are living in a state of fear and panic. The governments and authorities have been trying to take as many safety measures as possible but the effect of virus doesn’t seem to be going any further at this time.
With all the cricket matches being suspended at the moment, cricketers are staying at home and in complete isolation not just to keep themselves home but also to spread the word of how staying at home can help people overcome this situation. Several cricketers have posted videos requesting people to wash hands, stay indoors, maintain social distancing and the latest one to do so is the Indian captain Virat Kohli who along with his wife Anushka Sharma urged people to keep themselves safe at home.
The need of the hour is to absolutely respect and follow the government’s directive. Stay home. Stay safe. Stay healthy. 🙏🏻 https://t.co/p1NDo0E9YL

The video was tweeted by Anushka Sharma which Kohli quoted with the caption ” The need of the hour is to absolutely respect and follow the government’s directive. Stay home. Stay safe. Stay healthy 🙏🏻 “.
Yesterday, the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi addressed the nation where he called out every Indian to counter this Corona scare collectively. He also appealed every citizen of India to not to come out of their homes between 7 AM to 9 PM on the upcoming Sunday by terming it ” Janta Curfew “.
Kohli supported this request by a couple of tweets last evening as well asking Indians to stay alert, stay at home and hence, stay safe.
Be alert, attentive and aware to combat the threat posed by the Covid 19. We, as responsible citizens, need to adhere to the norms put in place for our safety as announced by our Honourable Prime Minister Shri @NarendraModi ji. #IndiaFightsCorona
