The Committee of Administrators (COA) bring a new change in the process of making payments to the cricketers as this time around, they came up with a new solution of sending salaries through online transaction rather than the normal method of cheque documents only to make the task as simple as possible.
By taking this decisive proposal into consideration, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) won’t be issuing any cheques to the cricketers henceforth as they would send a straight payment to the cricketers (men and women) in international, domestic zones.
To proceed with it, cricketers at all levels need to feed the required details in the application form for which they would be getting their payments only via online. It has been understood that digital payments are better than processing cheque documents as that may take ample time when cricketers depend on state associations to get things done for money matters.
“All players will have to submit their KYC details and money will henceforth be credited straight into their accounts. There have been many instances of misconduct in the past. But we are only aware of the ones that have been reported”, BCCI said as per Indian Express.
“What about those which haven’t come under the spotlight? By making the payments online, we can at least be assured that all the players get their due payment and they don’t have to rely on their state associations,” India’s governing body concluded.
