THU vs SIX Match Preview

This is finally the Sydney Smash we had been waiting for and both of the games will be played in the second half of the group stage. Thunder lost their last match to Scorchers due to a strange decision at toss while Sixers are coming on the back of a victory in their last match. You must be ready to make your Dream11 team for this Sydney derby. Let us help you with all the information you need to make a perfect THU vs SIX Dream11 Team. In this article, we bring you playing 11, pitch report and best players to pick in your Dream11 Team for THU vs SIX match.

  • Match Venue : Manuka Oval, Canberra
  • Match Time : 01:45 PM IST

Sydney Thunder Team News

Sydney Thunder are currently placed at the second position in the points table and winning this game would help them reach the top. They lost their last match against Perth Scorchers while chasing on a venue which supports the team batting first. Sam Billings played an outstanding lone warrior knock though but he couldn’t let lead them to win.

Thunder would be delighted to have Daniel Sams back in the squad who has finally recovered from the concussion and is ready to play again in this big ticket game. Sams would walk back in our Dream11 team straight away. Rest of the squad would be same. With Doggett picking up 4 wickets and McAndrew doing well recently, Adam Milne remains the only fast bowler whose spot remains vulnerable and he could be replaced by Daniel Sams in the playing 11.

Sydney Sixers Team News

Sydney Sixers must be really delighted to get a win after being in a position of losing the last match against Brisbane Heat. Chasing 149, they were restricted to 54-4 but a partnership between Daniel Hughes and Daniel Christian helped them win the match. They’d dearly love to hang on to their top spot by winning the match against their arch rivals.

Sixers have named their squad and it is the same squad which took on Heat in the last match. They are also expected to play with the same playing 11 as well.

THU vs SIX Pitch Report

The statistics of this venue tells that Manuka Oval is quite a high scoring venue which has an average of 170 in the first inning. The highest score has been 219 while 4 out of 10 times, teams have scored between 170 and 189 on this venue.

5 matches have been while batting first while 5 have been while chasing so there is a fair share of distribution between both the results but with the nature of the pitch staying true, batting will be lot more comfortable on this deck.

THU vs SIX Head to Head

Overall

Sydney Thunder : 6 wins

Sydney Sixers : 11 wins

Players to pick from both sides

Sydney Thunder

  • Sam Billings : All the backing for Sam Billings was proved right as he scored a beautiful 83 in the last game. He might score big again in this match but it’s hard to ignore him either.
  • Alex Hales : Alex Hales has been Thunder’s best batsman. He has scored 269 runs in 9 matches at a high strike rate of 161.
  • Ben Cutting : In the absence of Daniel Sams, Ben Cutting had a huge responsibility for Thunder and he performed that duty quite well, so much so that he makes to our fantasy team even when Daniel Sams is back.
  • Tanveer Sangha : With 15 wickets in 9 matches, he is tournament’s fifth highest wicket taker up until this point and is a good option for captain or vice captain too.
  • Nathan McAndrew : McAndrew has performed very well when he was given a chance at the place of Daniel Sams. He has been too good to get dropped.
  • Usman Khawaja : After a slow start, Khawaja seems to pick his form in this tournament. He has scored 239 runs in this season at a strike rate of 140 and we can invest 9.5 points in him at this stage now.
  • Daniel Sams : The main man is finally back after a concussion and we don’t need to tell how good he has been in this season and BBL overall. He makes an ideal candidate for captain too.

Sydney Sixers

  • Joshua Philippe : Joshua is the 4th highest run scorer in this season so far. He has scored 273 runs at an average of 30 and he is the top scorer for Sydney Sixers. Philippe has all the reasons to be backed in fantasy.
  • Daniel Christian : The heroics of Christian in last match where he scored 61 and picked a wicket is the reason why he picks himself in any fantasy team as an all rounder.
  • Daniel Hughes : Captain Hughes got back to scoring with a half century in the last game. He has 264 runs in 9 games this season at an average of 33.
  • Jackson Bird : Bird had a decent game against Heat where he picked a couple of wickets conceding just 22 runs.

  • Match Venue : Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi

UAE Team News

UAE did a dreamy stuff in the first ODI when they chased the target of 270 in the first ODI but that also tells you about how beautiful was the track at which they batted. Some of the big players stepped up as expected. For the second ODI, the playing 11 is expected to be the same as it was a total team performance with the bat and the ball.

Ireland Team News

Ireland were firm favorites after the first inning which ended with them scoring 269 runs. They’d be happy with the form of their batsmen, particularly Paul Stirling who got back to back 100s (first against England in last series) while captain Andrew Balbirnie contributed with a 50 too. While the batting was great, bowling wasn’t. Mark Adair and Craig Young were expensive but they will perhaps get one more shot in this next match. Simi Singh might come in for Hary Tector.

UAE vs IRE Pitch Report

This Abu Dhabi pitch is really good for batting and you get the sense when both teams score over 269 runs in their 50 overs. It was the 21st time when a team scored a total in between 250 and 299 here. Average first inning score is 250 on this venue. All these statistics confirm that batting is an easier job here compared to bowling.

SCO vs THU Match Preview

Scorchers after facing one Sydney based team in their last assignment are ready to face another Sydney based team on their home turf. Perth Scorchers will face Sydney Thunder in BBL’s next game and we bring you SCO vs THU Dream11 Team post to inform you about the pitch report, playing 11 and the best Dream11 picks for THU vs SCO match.

  • Match Venue : Perth Stadium, Perth
  • Match Time : 01:45 PM IST

Perth Scorchers Team News

Perth Scorchers had a terrible start to their BBL campaign this year but they are slowly getting back on track and a win against Thunder will bring their campaign completely back on track. They’ve won three consecutive matches, out of which two have come at this very venue, which is also their home venue. They’d love to continue the momentum here.

Scorchers have made just one change to the squad. Sam Whiteman has been omitted and no one comes in. They’re most likely to stick with the same playing 11 after 3 consecutive wins.

Sydney Thunder Team News

Thunder must have some good memories of this pitch as they played their last match against Hurricanes at the same venue. They won the match defending the total and if they somehow manage to win the toss and bat first, they’d be firm favorites to disrupt the Scorchers’ winning momentum in their own backyard.

Thunder have named the same squad that took on Hobart Hurricanes. Unfortunately, Daniel Sams hasn’t recovered from the concussion yet and he will miss yet another match for Thunder. Everything clicked perfectly for Thunder in their last match so it’s highly unlikely they’ll risk changing their playing 11 unless there is an injury to someone.

Players Recent Performance

Perth Scorchers

  • Jason Roy : 27(31)
  • Liam Livingstone : 16(13) & 1-13
  • Josh Inglis : 20(12)
  • Colin Munro : 50(34)
  • Mitchell Marsh : 57(27) & 1-12
  • Andrew Tye : 4-20
  • Jason Beherendorff : 1-16
  • Fawad Ahmed : 1-17
  • Jhye Richardson : 3-15

Sydney Thunder

  • Usman Khawaja : 49(33)
  • Alex Hales : 21(19)
  • Callum Ferguson : 1(3)
  • Ben Cutting : 31(14) & 0-16
  • Alex Ross : 44*(33)
  • Chris Green : 2-23
  • Nathan McAndrew : 2-25
  • Tanveer Sangha : 2-29
  • Sam Billings : 1(5)

SCO vs THU Playing 11

Perth Scorchers

Jason Roy, Liam Livingstone, Colin Munro, Josh Inglis (wk), Mitchell Marsh, Ashton Turner (c), Aaron Hardie, Jhye Richardson, Andrew Tye, Jason Behrendorff, Fawad Ahmed

Sydney Thunder

Usman Khawaja, Alex Hales, Callum Ferguson (c), Sam Billings (wk), Ben Cutting, Alex Ross, Chris Green, Nathan McAndrew, Adam Milne, Tanveer Sangha, Brendan Doggett

SCO vs THU Pitch Report

Perth Stadium has hosted 3 matches this season and all three games have been won by the teams batting first. In these three matches, first inning scores were 183, 185 and 167 respectively while the winning margins were 86, 96 and 39 runs which tells that chasing is not easy at this pitch even though it’s a beautiful batting wicket having fair bit of help for fast bowlers too.

The team winning the toss would like to bat first while what you can do is to pick a lot of batsmen and fast bowlers in your Dream11 fantasy team.

SCO vs THU Head to Head

Overall

Perth Scorchers : 6 wins

Sydney Thunder : 6 wins

Players to pick from both sides

Let’s go through some to the key players to pick from both teams which might help you in making a great SCO vs THU Dream11 Team.

Perth Scorchers

  • Josh Inglis : Inglis scored a beautiful 70 odd in the match before this one, he has been fairly consistent for the Scorchers.
  • Jason Roy : After scoring the 50, Roy has scored couple of 27s at the same tempo and you feel like he is in for a big one in the next match.
  • Mitchell Marsh : Marsh was brilliant in the last game. He scored a 50 and picked up a wicket. His all round abilities are obviously going to be very useful.
  • Colin Munro : Munro has scored couple of 50s in the row. He is a risky pick going by the law of averages but you can’t simply ignore him.
  • Jhye Richardson : Jhye Richardson has been excellent in this BBL. Even in the last game he picked up a 3-fer and he will enjoy bowling on this surface.
  • Jason Beherendorff : Even though Beherendorff bowled just a couple of overs, he picked up a wicket. On a wicket that suits new ball bowling, he could be a great option to have.

Sydney Thunder

  • Sam Billings : We still back Billings to come good as he is pretty much suited for this pitch.
  • Alex Hales : Alex Hales has been Thunder’s best batsman. He has scored 264 runs in 8 matches at a high strike rate of 140.
  • Ben Cutting : In the absence of Daniel Sams, Ben Cutting seems the safest pick from Thunder pick among all rounders.
  • Tanveer Sangha : Tanveer Sangha has been effortlessly extremely successful in this BBL. With 15 wickets in 8 matches, he is tournament’s third highest wicket taker up until this point and is a good option for captain or vice captain too.
  • Nathan McAndrew : McAndrew was exceptional in the last game with the figure of 2-25. Expect him to come good on this track once again.

STR vs REN Match Preview

Adelaide Strikers will lock horns with Melbourne Renegades in the round 2 of the battle in the 33rd league game of the ongoing Big Bash League. The Renegades were comprehensively beaten in the round one and Strikers will start this match as favorites again on their home turf. Go through this article to know the best STR vs REN Dream11 Team Prediction.

  • Match Time : 12:40 PM IST

Adelaide Strikers Team News

Adelaide Strikers will have a great chance of coming closer to the top of the points table when they will take on a depleted Melbourne Renegades in their next match. However, they won’t take Renegades easily as the later must be hungry to avenge their first loss.

Last win came on the back off a lovely finishing touch from the bat of Jake Weatherald and some all round bowling & fielding performances which is why they have named the same 18 men’s squad to take on Renegades. Most likely they’d be naming the same playing 11 at the toss as well.

Melbourne Renegades Team News

The less said about the men in red, the better it would be. Renegades have been completely down and out this season and they’ve been an easy opponent to beat for every team. They’ve won just one out of 8 matches and time is running out for them.

The Renegades haven’t named their squad for this match as yet but they’d already announced an 18 members squad before the round one against Strikers. Lots of eyes will be on captain Aaron Finch who was slightly unlucky to be dismissed on a golden duck in the last fixture. Shaun Marsh is likely to miss this game too due to paternity leave.

UAE vs IRE Preview

Cricket after COVID-19 has resumed at large and this series between UAE and Ireland is one proof of that. UAE and Ireland will play a series of 4 ODIs in United Arab Emirates and the series begins with first ODI which will be played tomorrow. We cover the fantasy aspect of it by bringing UAE vs IRE Dream11 Team Prediction post.

  • Match Venue : Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi
  • Match Time : 11:00 AM IST

UAE Team News

UAE are looking a bit different side to the one played the last time and that is majorly due to the inclusion of youngsters like Vritiya Aravinda and Aryan Lakra. Whether they will get a match or not is a different thing to see though. Lakra can possibly earn a spot in the playing 11 but he will have to compete with another youngster Karthik Meiyappan for that spot. Wicket keeper batsman Vritiya is going to open the batting.

After hosting Indian Premier League, UAE is finally ready to host some international cricket too and it begins from Ireland tour of UAE itself. Experienced players like Ahmed Raza, Rohan Mustafa, Chirag Suri and Zahoor Khan make this team quite a competitive one against a stronger Ireland.

Players to pick from UAE

  • Vritiya Aravind
  • Mohammad Usman
  • Chirag Suri
  • Rohan Mustafa
  • Ahmed Raza

Ireland Team News

Ireland on the other hand, has got pretty much the same squad which took on England in their last series recently. Even though Ireland are the visitors, they still start the series as favorites because of the balance this Andrew Balbirnie led side has got. Paul Stirling and Kevin O’Brien provide experience to the side while players like Simi Singh, Gareth Delany and Craig Young are some exciting young players to watch out for in this Irish side.

Ireland had chased down the total of 329 against England in their last 2 ODIs and that should give them a lot of confidence. Both Paul Stirling and Balbirnie had scored 100s.

Players to pick from Ireland

  • Paul Stirling
  • Andrew McBirnie
  • Kevin O’Brien
  • Curtis Campher
  • Joshua Little

UAE vs IRE Pitch Report

As you’d have seen in the IPL, the Abu Dhabi pitch offers some assistance to the pace bowlers with the new ball. In case you don’t remember clearly, the famous Mohammad Siraj’s spell of 3 wickets for 8 runs had come at this same venue. However, the venue is also conducive to shot making and the statistics confirm it.

  • Average score batting 1st : 249
  • Highest score : 313-9
  • Score below 200 : 3
  • 200-249 scores : 19 times

HEA vs STA Match Preview

In the second match of the weekend double header, Brisbane Heat takes on Melbourne Stars in Queensland. As the BBL is approaching towards its business end, we bring you the HEA vs STA Dream11 Prediction post where we will give you the best HEA vs STA Dream11 Team to make sure you keep winning in Dream11 Fantasy cricket.

  • Match Venue : Bellerive Oval, Hobart
  • Match Time : 03:50 PM IST

Brisbane Heat Team News

Brisbane Heat have struggled for a huge part of the tournament but they have suddenly found their mojo and they must be riding very high in confidence after beating a strong Sydney Thunder in their previous game. In a high scoring match, it was Mujeeb ur Rehman who had bagged Player of the Match award for being economical and picking up a couple of wickets.

Heat must be further delighted to have Chris Lynn back who is coming after an injury. All Lynn has got to do is to clear the fitness test which he will most likely do. Lachy Pfeffer, the wicket keeper batsman also returns to the squad although it’s very unlikely that he will get a game. He replaces fast bowler Connor Sully in the squad.

Melbourne Stars Team News

Stars have won as many matches as Heat in this season and that makes the competition between these two sides pretty even although Stars are 3 points ahead based on Bash boost. Just like Heat, they too are coming on the back off a high scoring thrilling win against Hobart Hurricanes.

Stars will have a stronger bowling attack with the inclusion of Pakistani fast bowler Haris Rauf who has joined the squad after finishing the quarantine. He will replace Zahir Khan in the squad for the third overseas player. In the playing 11, he can replace either of Liam Hatcher or Sam Rainbird.

HEA vs STA Pitch Report

Carrara Oval is often not a high scoring ground. In last 10 matches, 6 first inning scores have ranged between 150 and 169 which tells you the difficulty level in batting here. However, both teams have some firepower in their batting so don’t be surprised if that hurdle of 169 is breached.

Highest score at this venue is 193 while teams batting first have won 4 out of last 10 matches as opposed to 6 matches won while chasing.

HUR vs THU Match Preview

There will be a couple of matches in the BBL tomorrow and in the first of the two games, Hobart Hurricanes will take on Sydney Thunder in Perth. This is a top of the table clash and so we are expecting high voltage action from this game. We also expect fierce competition in the Dream11 Fantasy which is why we are bringing you HUR vs THU Dream11 Team Prediction post to help you with fantasy cricket.

  • Match Venue : Perth Stadium, Perth
  • Match Time : 12:40 PM IST

Hobart Hurricanes Team News

Despite losing the last match to Melbourne Stars, Hurricanes will be aiming the top spot and a win will do it for them because of their superior net run rate over Sydney Sixers. They went down fighting in their chase in the last game and it was one of the few close games this BBL experienced. Ben McDermott scored a beautiful 91, but it went in vain.

Hurricanes have named their 16 men’s squad leaving out Charlie Wakim. Rest of the squad is remaining to be the same while the places of D’Arcy Short and Johan Botha would be up for discussion when they’d sit to decide the playing 11. These two have failed to make much significant contributions in the last few games.

Sydney Thunder Team News

Sydney Thunder will be eying a top spot in this game and just like Hurricanes, a win will do the trick for them as well. Thunder must be disappointed after failing to defend 175 at a venue like Gabba and that must ring some alarms when it comes to the bowling department. Except a couple who bagged ducks, all the batsmen batted beautifully but when it came to the bowling, none of them was even economical except for Chris Green who only conceded 20 runs in his 4 overs.

Thunder received a big blow when Daniel Sams was ruled out of this game due to concussion. Sams batted exceptionally well in the last game scoring 37 runs in just 18 balls. Other than Sams, remaining squad is same but Adam Milne’s spot could be up for grabs.

Players Recent Performance

Hobart Hurricanes

  • D’Arcy Short : 8(13) & 0-24
  • Ben McDermott : 91(58)
  • Dawid Malan : 26(22)
  • Colin Ingram : 17(13)
  • Tim David : 2(3)
  • Riley Meredith : 2-25
  • Nathan Ellis : 3-31
  • Scott Boland : 0-45

HUR vs THU Pitch Report

After few matches on this surface, we all are familiar with Perth Stadium pitch. It’s a beautiful batting wicket but it also helps the fast bowlers if they bowl in the right areas. Scorchers have scored 180+ totals twice in two games here but what’s also interesting that the chasing teams have lost by big margins in both these games. Team winning the first would love to bat first and with the fast bowling strength Thunder have, we’d back them to win the match if they win the toss and bat first.

HUR vs THU Head to Head

Overall

Hobart Hurricanes : 8 wins

Sydney Thunder : 5 wins

Players to pick from both sides

Hobart Hurricanes

  • Ben McDermott : McDermott is in top form this season. Just in the last game, he scored an excellent 91. He is the highest run scorer in this year’s BBL with 277 runs at an average of 55.
  • Dawid Malan : Malan has been quite decent in the number of games he has played, he has been quite consistent and is a safe bet.
  • Sandeep Lamichhane : Lamichhane has picked up 3 wickets in 2 matches and reading his leg spin will be a tough ask for Thunder batting line-up which consists of a lot of right handers.
  • Riley Meredith : Riley Meredith has been exceptional, he has picked up 12 wickets in just 8 matches. He has been picking wickets in almost every match and he will enjoy bowling on this bouncy Perth pitch.
  • Nathan Ellis : Ellis has mostly played the supporting role but he has almost identical record to Meredith which proves how good he has been.

Sydney Thunder

  • Sam Billings : Billings has started to find his groove and this bouncy pitch of Perth will suit his style of batting, expect a good score from him tomorrow.
  • Alex Hales : Alex Hales has been Thunder’s best batsman along with Callum Ferguson. Both have scored 243 runs in 7 matches although Hales has been lot more explosive.
  • Callum Ferguson : With 243 runs at an average of 40, Ferguson is a safe bet in fantasy cricket.
  • Ben Cutting : In the absence of Daniel Sams, Ben Cutting seems the most obvious pick among all rounders.
  • Tanveer Sangha : Tanveer Sangha has been effortlessly extremely success in this BBL. With 13 wickets in only 7 matches, he is tournament’s third highest wicket taker up until this point and is a good option for captain or vice captain too.
  • Nathan McAndrew : McAndrew has been quite okayish in this season if not exceptional but he could be a good gamble to take given the nature of the pitch.

AUS vs IND Dream11 Team

AUS vs IND Preview

In this 9 days break between the second and the third test, plenty of off field talks have been making headlines. From Indian players allegedly breaking bio-secure bubble to Indian contingent not willing to travel for Brisbane for the 4th Test to Tim Paine saying that some tension has been building between the two teams off late but now, it’s time to close all those talks and let the bat and ball do the talking on the field. The 3rd AUS vs IND Test begins tomorrow at Sydney Cricket Ground and we bring you AUS vs IND Dream11 Team Prediction which is a preview post for the third test based on boosting your chances of winning in fantasy cricket.

  • Match Venue : Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG)
  • Match Time : 05:00 AM IST | 11:30 PM GMT

Australia Team News

Australia must have never expected a comeback like that from India at MCG after rolling them over at 36 only in Adelaide. Batting has been their biggest area of concern where they have crossed 200 marks only once in 3 innings. And to add some strength to the weak batting, Australia have included a not 100% fit David Warner along with Will Pucovski who will open the batting with him.

Among the rest of the squad, either of Travis Head or Cameron Green will be dropped for Pucovski while Warner will replace Joe Burns. Since Green adds a bowling option, Head is likely to be axed. Matthew Wade will be able to save his position.

Players to pick from Australia

  • Steve Smith : Out of all the Australian venues, Smith probably has his lowest average at SCG where he averages 68 with a couple of 100s. He has had a quiet series but great players can not be kept quiet for long.
  • Marnus Labuschagne : Labuschagne too has had a quiet series, just like Smith but at least he has got the starts and he might start converting those starts in this Test. He’d have fond memories of this ground as he had scored a 215 here last year.
  • Pat Cummins : The number one Test match bowler has quite a record at SCG, where he has picked up 12 wickets at an average of 24. He is a must in your Dream11 Team.
  • Nathan Lyon : Lyon hasn’t had a great series so far but if there is one Australian venue he’d choose to bowl at the rest of his life, it’d be SCG. The spin favoring conditions make him a threat for the opponents here and a value for your fantasy team.

India Team News

India just gave everyone a motivation to get through the hardest of times without getting bogged down when they won the Test match at SCG. However, there has been plenty of off field chatters to disturb their preparations for the 3rd Test but they’d be happy to have Rohit Sharma back who will open the batting replacing Mayank Agarwal.

The other change India has made is a forced change which brings Navdeep Saini in the 11. He will make his debut and replace the injured Umesh Yadav from the last match.

Players to pick from India

  • Cheteshwar Pujara : Pujara has been kept quiet by the Australians in this series but this pitch will suit his style of batting and hence we are expecting him to score in this Test match.
  • Jasprit Bumrah :  Bumrah has been the best fast bowler from Indian team in this series with 8 wickets in 2 games at an average of 23. You can’t overlook him while making fantasy team.
  • R Ashwin : Often seen as a competitor of Nathan Lyon, Ashwin has outbowled him in this series up until this point and this pitch at SCG will suit his style of bowling even more, particularly in the last inning where he’d be more threatening.
  • Rishabh Pant : Pant adds extra value added points to the fantasy and will be the most useful option among wicket keepers if he gets going.
  • Shubman Gill : Gill made his debut at MCG and looked solid in both the innings. Expect him to continue his good form at SCG too.
  • Ajinkya Rahane : Indian captain and the centurion from last game might be a risk in fantasy as you never know if he will be able to repeat that performance but it’s very hard to ignore his selection.
  • Ravindra Jadeja : There was a tough fight between Jadeja and Siraj for this spot but as we expect ball to turn at SCG, Jadeja could prove to be more useful than Siraj.

Other Fantasy options from both sides

Australia : Josh Hazlewood, David Warner

India : Rohit Sharma, Mohd Siraj

Australia vs India Pitch Report

The SCG pitch often turns a lot in the 3rd and 4th innings. Looking at the few early pictures of the pitch, what one can read is that it will assist the pacers with the new ball because of the grass. However, since the color of the pitch is brownish and not greenish, it will become better to bat once the ball gets old.

And following the tradition, it should spin in the second innings of both sides which will make Lyon, Ashwin and Jadeja very interested.
