IPL 2017: Twitter reacts as Daredevils get much needed win after 5 defeats in a row

Delhi Daredevils players can now breathe a sigh of relief as they comfortably aced it against the Sunrisers Hyderabad by 6 wickets at Feroz Shah Kotla. Delhi mentor Rahul Dravid must be mighty pleased with the boys who turned up well and having faced the ignominy against Kings XI Punjab, they had to turn the screws and come out on top against the Sunrisers.

With no experienced Zaheer Khan in the side, Karun Nair took the responsibility in hand and commanded the team quite well and if not for the resolute bowling efforts, they ensured to not repeat the batting fiasco again as the collective rhythm of batting paved way for them.

The good passage of play from Sunrisers saw them essaying a challenging 185/3 in their quota of overs. Thanks to David Warner’s quick 30-run knock from the top and Yuvraj Singh’s 41-ball 70* especially in the last 10 overs set the tone for them to get on the safer side.

Having the best bowlers in the cards, Sunrisers worked their socks off to act as a thorn to the hosts but they dearly missed their fifth bowler. Delhi’s buoyant spark steered the team increase the efficiency of the engine and the body language of the batters gave us the hint that all had the knack of chasing the target.

The tender trio prospects namely Karun Nair’s 39, Rishabh Pant’s 34 and Shreyas Iyer’s 33 produced the kind of music that the team wanted to listen and that paved way for Corey Anderson (41*) and Chris Morris (15) to pull off the innings as they aced it with ease.

When the three or four batters are bound to essay slick runs meticulously, then without the shadow of a doubt, the team is more likely to get past the victory line. Here is how Twitter reacted when Delhi Daredevils tracked the target successfully with 5 balls to spare.
