IPL 2017: Ravi Ashwin wants to open in next IPL

The Vivo IPL 2017 tournament has indeed missed a polarising figure who is none other than Ravichandran Ashwin. The dynamic prospect was ruled out of the full season owing to Sports Hernia. But, that doesn’t stop him getting involved with his supporters as he has always been in touch with them on the Twitter platform giving notifications concerning the recuperation.

The special carrom ball spinner who is known for his ability to exploit batsmen’s weaknesses even in the crunch situations makes him a complete bowler. In fact, possessing the knack of batting competency under cheeky circumstances to drill the plates makes us wonder why can’t he open the batting just like Sunil Narine is doing for KKR in Chris Lynn’s absence.

Sunil Narine carved out a reputation for himself as a productive opener and delivering the much-needed punches has always helped out KKR. The Calypso Narine bumped into an opening batsman in late January when he played BBL for Melbourne Renegades.

Well, one of Ravi Ashwin’s fan on Twitter came up with an interesting question during an interactive session. The fan asked, “@ashwinravi99 would you even like to open d batting like Narine in the next IPL season?#askash”.

Ravichandran Ashwin replied to his fan, “@hemish444 My liking is one, the captain of the team should also like it”. However, the reply from Ashwin seems to give some hint to the fans that he is interested in opening the account considering captain’s preference.
